Delivery Times & Charges
Parcels are dispatched next working day and usually arrive within 3-7 working days. Express shipped parcels arrive within 1-3 working days (this may be slightly longer for remote country areas).
All parcels are sent via registered post. If you are not at home to receive the parcel, a card will be left in your letterbox so you can pick it up from your closest post office. Sometimes cards get accidentally discarded, so if you believe your parcel should have arrived, check with your local post office first. However, a suitable alternative is to use Australia Post's new 24/7 Parcel Lockers.
You can get anybody to sign for your delivery.
We do not offer free delivery.
No, we send express post parcels via Star Track couriers which do not deliver to PO Boxes. The best thing is to provide an address which there is always somebody present such as a work address. Note: A Signature is required on delivery. However, a suitable alternative is to use Australia Post's new 24/7 Parcel Lockers.
Returns and Refunds
Your Discount Chemist will refund and/or replace any damaged or faulty stock at no additional charge. We advise the customer to contact us to arrange this as some product manufacturers choose to deal with the customer directly.
Due to Government laws, we cannot refund or return prescription medications once they have been dispatched from our pharmacy.
All other items which have been ordered incorrectly by the customer or any unwanted products will be refunded the purchase amount minus the postage charge as long as the packaging is in its original condition. Additionally, any return postage charges will be the responsibility of the customer. Proof of purchase such as a receipt is required for all returned items. You assume any risk of lost, theft or damaged goods during transit - therefore we advise you take out shipment registration of insurance with your postal carrier and that it is packed appropriately. Your Discount Chemist will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.

Most products we have on our website are found in our stores, however not all. The best thing is to contact your closest store to check for product availability (see store locations). Products that are stored in the fridge cannot be supplied through our website.
Due to these items being very heavy and bulky we do not sell them on our website as the associated postage costs are too high to make it feasible.
Some items are prone to abuse and addiction, hence to provide an ethical service we restrict the sale of some highly addictive medications and call the customer to clarify their intended use. In other cases, stock may be limited hence limits will be enforced

Prescription Questions

No, prescription items can only be sent if you have an Australian prescription written by an Australian registered doctor.

No, this is not allowed under Australian law. We must receive the original prescription before we can dispense and send your medication.
International Orders
Yes, we provide international shipping, however, prescriptions, perfumes and flammable items cannot be sent.

Payments, Security & Credit Cards
No, currently we don’t accept direct deposits or cheques. However, you may use the Direct Debit option in the checkout. You just have to put your BSB and account number and we will debit the amount for you without any need for you to manually deposit any money into our account.
Yes, definitely. Your Discount Chemist uses Stripe for its online credit card transactions. Stripe is one of the worlds leading payment providers who have security as the highest priority. Our website is also secured by SSL encryption further preventing credit card theft. You may learn more about Stripe by going to stripe.com. However, if you still feel uncomfortable providing your credit card details online, we can arrange for an alternative method which you are comfortable with - see next question.
You have 2 options. 1. You may pay via Afterpay or Zip Pay. - These are safe buy now pay later options that do not involve any credit cards. They are fast and free to set up. 2. You may pay via Direct Debit - simply put your BSB and account number during the checkout and we will automatically deduct the order amount for you. It's simple, fast and requires no sign-up. Note: You may use Apple Pay on your iPhone.
Yes, you can. You may pay via AfterPay, Zip Pay or Direct Debit.
No. However, you may use our direct debit feature that automatically deducts your payment from your bank account without the need for a credit card.

Yes, we have 13 great store locations across NSW and ACT. Please visit our store locations page for details.
In the majority of cases, the prices are the same but they can vary on some items. Sometimes we have online specials on items which we cannot match in store. The best is to check with your closest store location for price and availability.
Orders may be cancelled by contacting us ASAP via email or phone. Any orders which have already been dispatched from our pharmacy will be refunded minus the delivery charge.
