Needle-Free Flu Protection Now Available Across NSW

Parents across NSW can now access a free, needle-free flu vaccine for children and teenagers aged 2 to 17 years following the expansion of the NSW Government's FluMist® Nasal Spray Influenza Vaccination Program.

Previously available only to children aged 2–4 years, the program now covers all eligible children and adolescents aged 2–17 years while stocks last.

What Is FluMist?

FluMist® is a nasal spray flu vaccine that provides protection against seasonal influenza without the need for an injection. Administered as a quick spray into each nostril, it offers a convenient alternative for children and teens who may be anxious about needles.

Approved by Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), FluMist has been used safely in millions of children worldwide.
